The
Celebrating Asian American Heritage Foundation (CAAHF)
will host ASIAFEST ‘08 on Saturday May 3, 2008. The fifth annual
Festival will take place at Haggard Park in downtown Plano from
11 am to 5 pm. Activities will include demonstrations of Asian
culture including Chinese calligraphy, Asian painting,
traditional dances, fashion shows, musical instruments and other
cultural arts. Talented artists from the local Asian community
will showcase their culture and heritage to the public. This
event celebrates the diverse artistic and cultural experiences
of Asian-Americans. ASIAFEST ‘08 is about understanding the
different spices that make up the wonderful American Melting
Pot.
Since the first Plano Asian American Heritage Festival in 2004,
the event has been recognized and touted in local newspapers and
media as one of the main events to celebrate Asian American
Heritage month in Plano. Your support and sponsorship are very
important for the success of the week’s events and will be
appreciated by the Asian community.
ASIAFEST ‘08 is supported by the City of Plano, the Mayor, City
Council, and our sponsors. Your generous support will be
recognized in our program book, our advertisements, and there
will be a unique opportunity to display your company’s banner at
the festival.
